1. Sky+HD box price and standard set-up price (including VAT). Sky+HD box £49 when you take Sky TV and the HD Pack and existing customers sign up to another 12 month minimum term for Sky TV. One £49 box per household and not available if you already have SkyHD/Sky+HD box. HD ready TV required.

Sky+HD

Sky is the leading provider of digital satellite TV services in the UK and Ireland. To access the widest range of HD channels you will need an HD ready TV, a Sky+HD box and subscribe to Sky TV and the HD Pack. Sky now offers 34 HD channels, across sports, movies and entertainment. Non-Sky TV customers can receive three free-to-air (FTA) high definition channels without any subscriptions on a Sky+HD box - Luxe TV HD, BBC HD and Channel 4 HD (Channel 4 HD requires a valid viewing card). Sky+HD customers can also receive a collection of the week's unmissable HD TV, with Sky Anytime, at no extra cost.

Virgin Media

Virgin Media offers a limited HD service, giving you access to up to 7 HD channels (including two channels soon to launch) and a selection of on demand programmes, including HD movies. You will need an HD ready TV, a V+ HD box - which is a digital receiver and recorder in one - and subscribe to Virgin TV.

Freesat

Freesat is a joint venture between the BBC and ITV to offer a subscription-free satellite TV service. You will need an HD ready TV and a Freesat HD box to receive the BBC HD channel and selected ITV programmes behind the red button in high definition.

BT Vision

BT Vision launched their HD offering in September 2008 as part of its on demand TV service, giving you the chance to pay to download and watch movies in HD. In order to get high definition content through BT Vision, you need an HD ready TV, subscribe to BT Total Broadband for a minimum of 12 months, and a BT Vision V-box and BT Home Hub.
