Response time
The response time - measured in milliseconds - is the time it takes for a liquid crystal to go from active to inactive and back to active again. The shortest time that the human eye can differentiate movement is 6 milliseconds, so make sure the response time is a maximum of 8 milliseconds to avoid any possibility of screen blur.
Gaming mode
The gaming mode option on an HD ready TV sharpens the picture, speeds up the image processing response and enhances the sounds of your games. Picture and sound quality optimised for the special needs of gaming systems at the touch of a button.
CCFL backlight
The CCFL - cold cathode fluorescent light - is the form of illumination used in an LCD television. CCFL backlights on LCD televisions increase readability in low light conditions.
Auto volume leveller
Keeps volume levels steady so you won't experience volume dips or peaks during your television viewing.
Common interface slot
The common interface slot is where the conditional access module (CAM) may be inserted for satellite television. The CAM allows you to view conditional access content, normally associated with Top Up TV.
